Thinking back to the days I heard my dad talking about people different from him, racially or based on country of family origin, I used to cringe at the nicknames that rolled casually off his tongue. Fast forward to my children who never seem to notice any differences related to skin color, accent or other indications of people’s origins. They just have friends . . .
Seems like a lot of progress in the time between these generations. Here is a mom talking about her daughter and what she is re-learning from her about human beings! From the LA Times.
